Tandoori Chicken

This is perhaps the most well known Indian dish that there is. It is a staple at every Indian restaurant, and is very popular in Punjab and the rest of North India. It is surprisingly simple to make, especially if you have grill.

  • Start with the chicken thigh fillets in a deep mixing bowl.
  • Add the black salt, white pepper, coriander powder, hot curry powder, chilli powder, finely shredded garlic and ginger, mustard oil, lime juice, and tandoori food colouring powder, and mix thoroughly.
  • Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  • Place the chicken on a heated grill plate, and grill for 20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes, until well done.
  • Serve with a selection of vegetables
